What strikes me in this article, and what intrigues me so much, is the tone around the battles Benioff picks. The article suggests that he picks ones that he know he can win!
However, I take a slightly different stance with it. Benioff is in a position of heightened power. He holds kudos and has weight to throw around.
His enlightened approach to the challenges businesses face today, morally and culturally, ensures that 'Equal Pay' (although unlikely to be contested) has a voice. It's a subject seen all over the news, multiple articles have been written and, let’s be honest, opinion isn't likely to be divided on it.
But he does do something about it. Someone has to after all.
Surely there should be more people with influence that do this. The question we should be asking is; who else will weigh in on subjects like it?
"It’s hard even for me to come up with a reason not to consider Benioff one of the best leaders in tech we’ve seen in the Internet era-- particularly in the enterprise software world.".... "He mostly picks battles he knows will prove right."
