When Jenny writes a post the community sits up and listens and today is like no other.
There are a few things that really resonated with this post, it covers off things that I come up against every day. The question what to do next after touching on the first initial step on the Salesforce ladder is a very important one.
Jenny is right, stay put, learn more and do another cert. Rightly or wrongly (being a recruiter in Salesforce) there is way too much attrition in this market. Too many job hoppers and not enough questions being asked by candidates to their bosses about 'what more can you offer me' or 'how can you further my career further'.

So you have taken on the mighty ADM 201 and are now a certified Salesforce.com Administrator. You can take a big sigh of relief and rest assure that you now know the basic administrative skills to help run and maintain Salesforce for your organisation. And you have the shiny certificate to prove it. Now for many, becoming a Salesforce Certified Administrator is often only the beginning of their Salesforce journey. There are many more opportunities for you to expand your knowledge and gain more certifications. And due to the many Salesforce certifications that you can take on, I often find myself asking, ‘what’s next?’.
